Summer is nature’s season of growth and maturation as flowers and fruits are all around us and our gardens are growing full and tall. This is the time to feel inspired, joyful, loving, compassionate, and open to life in all its expressions and to connect with others. The sun is the perfect expression of yang energy encouraging outward movement and action. Combining yoga with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this workshop will guide the practitioner to align with the natural cycle and flow of life through a balanced practice of asanas, and qigong movements for the organ systems, also known as "acupuncture without the needles." Summer is associated with the fire element in TCM, and is connected to the organs and meridians of the heart, pericardium and the small intestine. The heart is often described as the “home and sanctuary of the mind and the spirit.” We will practice asanas that will open the heart, as well as strengthen and tone the core muscles along the heart and the small intestine meridians, and practice organ cleansing qigong movements that will inspire love and joy
Instructors: YongIn Kim - is a certified instructor of the "Zhang Fu Gong" organ cleansing qigong form and has studied with Francesco Garripolli and Daisy Lee.
