Autumn Yoga & Organ Cleansing Qigong Workshop

With Cheri Moran and YongIn Kim (a Body Grace student)
Fee: $30

Autumn is nature’s season of harvest and the beginning of the yin cycle. During this time, we are invited to slow things down, to look within and open up to our inner wisdom. This is a time to detox our body and our mind by letting go of any things, ideas and goals that do not serve us any longer and to clear some space for being in the now.

Combining yoga with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this workshop will guide the practitioner to align with the natural cycle and flow of life through a balanced practice of yoga asanas (postures) and qigong movements for the organ systems, also known as "acupuncture without the needles." Autumn is associated with the Metal Element in TCM, and is connected to the organs and meridians of the lungs and the large intestines. We will practice yoga asanas that will open the chest, the side of the rib cage, activate the shoulders and arms, strengthen the legs and stimulate the diaphragm. We will also explore organ cleansing qigong movements, organ massage, and sound healing with Himalayan singing bowls to prepare for this season of rest.

All levels of yoga and qigong are welcome. Reserve a spot with Jan at bodygrace@verizon.net by Saturday, October 28.
